ACD and dogsports
Unfortunately today the cattle dog is fewer and fewer used on cattle, because of the large cattle drives are gone. Thus the cattledog was looking for a new job. His eagerness to work makes him a beloved partner for many areas of dog sports and even for service dog training, e.g.

- Frisbee
...to mention only a few.
Some of them are still herding cattle, mainly where the activity became a sport.
Especially he likes the employment as a carriage dog, running beside the horses. His low hunting passion and high grade to obey makes the cattle dog to a pleasant and uncomplicated companion.
But be careful, he’s not a dog for beginners or inconsequent people.
